Product description
The eaves flashing covers the side edges of a roof surface, i.e. the longitudinal edge at the gable. It covers the exposed side edge of the roof panels and protects them from the elements. This gives the roof a neat, sealed edge on the gable side.
- Cladding of the side edges / finishes on roof elements
- Covering of the side edges
Material: 0.75 mm galvanised sheet steel, 25 µm PE-coated
Typical applications
The eaves flashing is used wherever a roof surface ends at the side. Typical applications include:
- Cladding of the side cut surfaces on roof elements
- Covering the side edges at the gable
- Longitudinal finishing of roof panels at the eaves
- Weather protection for the exposed panel edges at the roof edge
The profile is made of 0.75 mm thick galvanised sheet steel with a 25 µm PE coating and is available in the colours RAL 7016, 8012, 9002, 9006 and 9007. This allows you to choose a colour that matches the roof panels.
When should you choose this profile?
The eaves flashing is the right choice for the side edge of the roof surface at the gable. For the lower edge of the roof, however, eaves flashing and wind deflector flashing are intended. For the upper edge at the ridge, ridge flashing (external ) and ridge flashing (internal ) are suitable options. You can find an overview of all profiles in the ‘Edge Profiles’ category.
Matching products
The eaves flashing is installed together with roof panels. Suitable products include:
- Roof panels in the desired thickness, such as the 40mm roof panel or the 60mm roof panel. You can find the full range under ‘Sandwich Panels – Roof’.
- Screws for fixing the edge profiles, such as the 7550 screw, which is specifically designed for edge profiles.
- Additional roof profiles for the ridge and eaves, colour-matched to the same shade.
You can find an overview of all accessories in our Accessories section.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the eaves edge?
The eaves flashing is the sloping, side edge of a roof surface at the gable. The eaves flashing covers precisely this edge and protects the exposed cut edge of the roof panels.
How does the valance flashing differ from the eaves flashing?
The valance flashing is fitted to the side edge of the roof at the gable, whilst the eaves flashing is fitted to the lower, horizontal edge of the roof. Both are usually used together on a fully covered roof.
In what lengths and colours is the profile available?
The profile is available in lengths of 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5 metres, as well as in the colours RAL 7016, 8012, 9002, 9006 and 9007. We manufacture lengths of 2.5 metres or more on request.
Which screws do I need for fixing?
Screw 7550 is suitable for fixing edge profiles. The correct choice depends on the substrate; we’d be happy to advise you on this.
