3. Google analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The legal basis for data processing in the context of Google Analytics is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.

However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. 4. Google Ads Conversion Tracking

On our website, we use Google Ads Conversion Tracking from Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google").

Google Ads Conversion Tracking, an analysis service of Google Inc., uses cookies that are stored on your device to analyse the use of the website that you have accessed by clicking on a Google ad. For this purpose, a so-called conversion tracking tag or code snippet is integrated into our website or app. As soon as a user clicks on this advert, a temporary cookie is stored on their device. If the user then carries out a customer activity that is of interest to us (e.g. purchases, registrations, filling out a contact form), Google and we as the website operator can recognise this. Google Ads Conversion Tracking is used to analyse which keywords, ads, ad groups and campaigns are most successful for us. This allows us to make informed decisions about our online advertising and optimise campaigns in line with our business objectives. Our legitimate interest in the use of Google Ads Conversion Tracking therefore lies in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online advertising.

The legal basis for data processing in the context of Google Ads Conversion Tracking is Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR.

You can object to your data being collected by Google Ads Conversion Tracking at any time. See letter d. in the "Cookies" section of this privacy policy.

You can deactivate cookies for Google As Conversion Tracking by setting your browser via the user settings so that cookies from the domain "googleadservices" are blocked.

7. Disclosure of your data to third parties

Unless already listed elsewhere in this privacy policy, we transfer your personal data to the following other recipients or categories of recipients:

  • Suppliers
  • Logistics companies
  • Other companies that are required to fulfil your order

We do not pass on your personal data for advertising purposes.

8. Chatbots and chat functions

We offer a so-called "chatbot" as a communication option. A chatbot is a piece of software that answers users' questions or informs them about messages. When you communicate with our chatbot, we may process your personal data.

If you communicate with the chatbot within an online platform, your identification number will also be stored within the respective platform. We may also collect information about which users interact with our chatbot and when. Furthermore, we store the content of your conversations with the chatbot and log registration and consent processes in order to be able to prove these in accordance with legal requirements.

We would like to point out that the respective platform provider can find out that and when users communicate with our chatbot and can collect technical information about the user's device and, depending on the settings of their device, location information (so-called metadata) for the purpose of optimising the respective services and for security purposes. The metadata of the communication via chatbot (i.e. e.g. information on who has communicated with whom) may also be used by the respective platform providers for marketing purposes or to display advertising tailored to users in accordance with their provisions, to which we refer for further information.

If users declare their willingness to the chatbot to activate information with regular messages, they have the option of cancelling the information for the future at any time. The chatbot informs users how and with which terms they can unsubscribe from the messages. When users unsubscribe from the chatbot messages, their data is deleted from the list of message recipients.

We use the aforementioned data to operate our chatbot, e.g. to address users personally, to answer their enquiries to the chatbot, to transmit any requested content and also to improve our chatbot (e.g. to "teach" it answers to frequently asked questions or to recognise unanswered enquiries).

Notes on legal bases: We use the chatbot on the basis of consent if we have previously obtained permission from users to process their data through the chatbot (this applies to cases in which users are asked for consent, e.g. so that the chatbot can send them regular messages). If we use the chatbot to answer users' enquiries about our services or our company, this is done for contractual and pre-contractual communication. Otherwise, we use the chatbot on the basis of our legitimate interests in optimising the chatbot, its business efficiency and enhancing the positive user experience.

Revocation, objection and deletion: You can revoke your consent at any time or object to the processing of your data in the context of our chatbot use.

Processed data types: Contact data (e.g. e-mail, telephone numbers), Content data (e.g. text input, photographs, videos), Usage data (e.g. websites visited, interest in content, access times), Meta/communication data (e.g. device information, IP addresses).

Data subjects: Communication partners.

Purposes of processing: Contact requests and communication, direct marketing (e.g. by email or post).

Legal bases: Consent (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR), Legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f. GDPR).

9. Online marketing

We process personal data for online marketing purposes, which may include in particular the marketing of advertising space or the presentation of advertising and other content (collectively referred to as "content") based on the potential interests of users and the measurement of their effectiveness.

For these purposes, so-called user profiles are created and stored in a file (so-called "cookie") or similar procedures are used, by means of which the user data relevant for the presentation of the aforementioned content is stored. This information may include, for example, content viewed, websites visited, online networks used, but also communication partners and technical information such as the browser used, the computer system used and information on usage times. If users have consented to the collection of their location data, this can also be processed.

The IP addresses of users are also stored. However, we use available IP masking procedures (i.e. pseudonymisation by shortening the IP address) to protect users. In general, no clear user data (such as e-mail addresses or names) is stored as part of the online marketing process, but pseudonyms. This means that neither we nor the providers of the online marketing procedures know the actual identity of the users, but only the information stored in their profiles.

The information in the profiles is usually stored in cookies or by means of similar procedures. These cookies can generally also be read later on other websites that use the same online marketing procedure, analysed for the purpose of displaying content and supplemented with further data and stored on the server of the online marketing procedure provider.

In exceptional cases, clear data can be assigned to the profiles. This is the case, for example, if the users are members of a social network whose online marketing process we use and the network links the user profiles to the aforementioned data. Please note that users can make additional agreements with the providers, e.g. by giving their consent during registration.

In principle, we only receive access to summarised information about the success of our advertisements. However, as part of so-called conversion measurements, we can check which of our online marketing processes have led to a so-called conversion, i.e., for example, to the conclusion of a contract with us. The conversion measurement is used solely to analyse the success of our marketing measures.

Unless otherwise stated, we ask you to assume that cookies used are stored for a period of two years.

Notes on legal bases: If we ask users for their consent to the use of third-party providers, the legal basis for the processing of data is consent. Otherwise, user data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in efficient, economical and recipient-friendly services). In this context, we would also like to draw your attention to the information on the use of cookies in this privacy policy.

Facebook pixel: With the help of the Facebook pixel, it is possible for Facebook to determine the visitors to our online offering as a target group for the display of adverts (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to display the Facebook ads placed by us only to those users on Facebook and within the services of the partners cooperating with Facebook (so-called "Audience Network" https://www.facebook.com/audiencenetwork/ ) who have also shown an interest in our online offer or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interest in certain topics or products that can be seen from the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called "Custom Audiences"). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interest of users and are not annoying. With the help of the Facebook pixel, we can also track the effectiveness of Facebook adverts for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users have been redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook advert (so-called "conversion measurement").

Processed data types: Usage data (e.g. websites visited, interest in content, access times), meta/communication data (e.g. device information, IP addresses), location data (data indicating the location of an end user's end device).

Data subjects: Users (e.g. website visitors, users of online services).

Purposes of Processing: Tracking (e.g. profiling based on interests and behaviour, use of cookies), Remarketing, Conversion Tracking, Interest-based and behavioral marketing, Profiling (Creating user profiles), Conversion tracking (Measurement of the effectiveness of marketing activities), Custom Audiences (Selection of relevant target groups for marketing purposes or other output of content), Cross-Device Tracking (Device-independent processing of user data for marketing purposes).

Security measures: IP masking (pseudonymisation of the IP address).

Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR), Legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f. GDPR).

Possibility of objection (opt-out): We refer to the data protection notices of the respective providers and the objection options specified for the providers (so-called "opt-out"). If no explicit opt-out option has been specified, you have the option of switching off cookies in your browser settings. However, this may restrict the functions of our online offering. We therefore recommend the following additional opt-out options, which are summarised for the respective areas: a) Europe: https://www.youronlinechoices.eu. b) Canada: https://www.youradchoices.ca/choices. c) USA: https://www.aboutads.info/choices. d) Cross-territory: http://optout.aboutads.info.
