Product description
The monopitch ridge flashing covers the cut edges of the roof panels at the top edge of a monopitch roof. It protects the exposed end of the panels at the ridge from the elements and provides a neat finish to the roof at its highest point. Thanks to its adjustable angle, it adapts to the pitch of the monopitch roof.
- Covering the cut edges of the panels in the ridge area of single-pitched roofs
Material: 0.75 mm galvanised sheet steel, 25 µm PE-coated
Typical applications
The single-pitched roof ridge cap is used wherever a single-pitched roof ends at its upper edge. Typical applications include:
- Covering the panel cut edges in the ridge area of single-pitched roofs
- Upper edge of single-slope roofs
- Weather protection for the exposed panel edges at the highest point of the roof
- Connecting the monopitch roof to an adjacent, higher building component edge
The profile is made of 0.75 mm thick galvanised sheet steel with a 25 µm PE coating and is available in the colours RAL 7016, 8012, 9002, 9006 and 9007. The adjustable angle of 0° to 160° allows it to be adapted to the roof pitch.
When should you choose this profile?
The monopitch ridge cap is the right choice for the upper edge of a monopitch roof, i.e. a roof sloping down on one side. In contrast, for a gable roof, where two roof surfaces meet at the ridge, both an external ridge cap and an internal ridge cap are required. For the lower edge of the roof, eaves flashing and wind deflector flashing are suitable options. You can find an overview of all profiles in the ‘Edge Profiles’ category.
Matching products
The monopitch ridge cap is installed together with roof panels. Suitable products include:
- Roof panels in the desired thickness, such as the 40mm roof panel or the 60mm roof panel. You can find the full range under ‘Sandwich Panels – Roof’.
- Screws for fixing the edge profiles, such as the 7550 screw, which is specifically designed for edge profiles.
- Additional roof profiles for eaves and verge, colour-matched to the same shade.
You can find an overview of all accessories in our Accessories section.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the monopitch ridge cap differ from the ridge cap?
The monopitch ridge cap finishes off a single-sloped monopitch roof at the top edge. In contrast, for a gable roof, where two roof slopes meet at the ridge, ridge caps are used on both the outside and the inside. The choice depends on the roof shape.
Does the profile suit every roof pitch?
The angle can be adjusted from 0° to 160°, meaning the profile suits most single-pitched roof pitches. For special connection scenarios, we’ll advise you on the appropriate design.
In what lengths and colours is the profile available?
The profile is available in lengths of 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5 metres, as well as in the colours RAL 7016, 8012, 9002, 9006 and 9007. We manufacture lengths of 2.5 metres or more on request.
Which screws do I need for fixing?
Screw 7550 is suitable for fixing edge profiles. The correct choice depends on the substrate; we’d be happy to advise you on this.
