The 7565 screw is the long fixing screw for sandwich panels on a timber substructure. It is designed as a self-tapping stainless steel screw and is available in a range of lengths from 50 to 175 mm, allowing the correct screw to be selected for any panel thickness. This makes it the key screw for installing roof and wall panels on timber.

The screw is designed as an A2 self-tapping stainless steel screw with a hexagonal head (SW 8) and an A2 washer, with a thread diameter of 6.5 mm. It is available in lengths of 50, 65, 80, 90, 115, 130, 150 and 175 mm; the recommended embedment depth in timber is at least 45 mm. For roof applications, it is approved for use with or without a cap.
When should you choose this screw?
The 7565 screw is the right choice when fixing a sandwich panel to a timber substructure. The length depends on the panel thickness: As a guide, the 65 mm screw covers panels up to approximately 13 mm thick, the 80 mm screw 14 to 35 mm, the 90 mm screw 36 to 48 mm, the 115 mmscrew covers 49 to 63 mm, the 130 mm screw 64 to 78 mm, the 150 mm screw 79 to 98 mm and the 175 mm screw 99 to 123 mm. The 7565 is significantly longer and specifically designed for fixing complete sandwich panels. The shorter trapezoidal sheet metal screws, such as the 7160, are, by contrast, intended only for fixing thin profiled sheets.
